Country Music と Western Music ってどう違うの??

 今回は少し長いお話です。
私達は簡単にカントリーソングっと言ってしまいます。 私もです。
またアメリカでも同じように只 Country Music っと書いていますので当たり前の様に為っていますが、本当は Country & Western Music を指しているはずですよね。

 このおぼろげにしか解ってない区別の Country と Western Music を説明している文章を見つけました。

Origin

Style

Country

Equal emphasis on vocal and instrumental music, and group harmony. Rich variety of acoustic guitars with amplified ones, also with amplified mandolin, acoustic accordion and drums (except in vocal groups, which use bass).

 如何でしょうか、多分色んな意見が有ると思いますでも、なんか読んでふんふんってなりませんか。

 でもこうやって見ると今中心は Country Music って思いますよね、そうすると Country ってだけ書いているのがあながち間違いでは無いのかも、、、、、でも Cowboy Song って良いですよね。

 そうです、深ーーーいです。
この辺の解釈がまた解説者の立場を表していて面白いですね。
ヤンキーとサザナーの違いとか、イーストとウエストの違いとかボーダーの南と北とか日本には無い違いですね。
